Congressional Collaborators Who Tried to Overturn the Election

In 1782, Col. Lewis Nicola wrote a letter urging Washington to overthrow Congress and become America’s king… When King George the 3rd heard Washington would resign his commission to a powerless Congress, he told the painter Benjamin West: “if he does that, he will be the greatest man in the world.”

The single act by the 1st president of the United States set the stage for 247 years of representative democracy, ensuring the peaceful transition of power from one administration to another, fulfilling the will of the American people demonstrated by their vote.

Not until the election of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States has there ever been a president holding the power of that office, who engaged in a conspiracy to violate their oath of office and Conspired with others, including members of Congress, to Subvert the will of the people and the Constitution of the United States by declaring himself the winner when in fact he lost.

Those involved in this conspiracy to overturn a legitimate election through the use of lies and conspiracy theories and the use of “state run news media, Fox News, Newsmax and others, constitutes an act of sedition.  As far as we are concerned, Fox News and its host are also culpable in this attempted coup.  Their actions were an effort to defraud the American people of their vote of the legitimate duly elected President.  Those involved in the conspiracy were more concerned about market share or simply did not have the courage or a conviction to stand up to the bullying, lies and misinformation being propagated for the self-interest of the former President who lost his election.

The willingness of these collaborators to engage in the acts of sedition to appease the defeated Donald Trump appears to be motivated by several different reasons.  They were, and still are, fearful, of Trump’s influence on his large core of Republican and evangelical supporters. Trump’s apparent willingness to turn them against anyone who would dare oppose him in anything and everything he says and does is designed to intimidate them into submission. His ability to direct those followers to particular news networks provides the financial motive for those networks to obfuscate the truth and hide reality from his followers. It’s the perfect storm for dictator on the rise!

This patronization of a man who lives his life in the pursuit of wealth, women, accolades and praise is not in the best interest of a nation and the people being governed.  In the words of Sen. Lindsey Graham, before he lost what little integrity he had left.  “I think he’s a kook.  I think he’s crazy.  I think he’s unfit for office.” Additional comments by Lindsey Graham about Trump “just narcissistic” … Lindsey Graham.  “Donald Trump is a race baiting, Xenophobic, religious bigot”

Perhaps somewhere along the line Sen. Graham had an epiphany where he suddenly realized that all of those things like honor, integrity and fidelity to the Constitution didn’t matter anymore.  He just needed to repent to get Donald and his supporters’ forgiveness, pledge his loyalty and get elected again.
